I loved getting to know both Frankie (whose initials are AWESOME, but you'll have to read the book to find out what they are) and Jay, as well as Frankie's circle of close-knit friends, who I'm guessing will get their stories told as the series moves forward. Multi-layered main characters are my favorite. After all, who wants to read about characters without any depth to them? And depth is exactly what Evie Mitchell offers up in this All Access series starter, both in terms of story and characters. There wasn't any sort of contrived drama-rama to try and gain the reader's sympahthy. Frankie may have been wheelchair-bound, but she was fiercely independent and able-minded, refusing to let anything or anyone limit her. I wanted to give Jay a hug because, man, he deserved it. I just fell in love with these two right as they were falling in love with each other and rightly so! I'm giving five stars to Knot My Type. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2021 )

She often receives questions from her listeners looking for advice on anything and everything. When someone asks about shibari/rope play she decides to seek out someone who knows more about it than she does. This is how she connects with Jay. And let me tell you, Evie has done a phenomenal job taking away the stigma! Frankie might be in a wheelchair, but by the end, you as the read don’t even pay attention to that. Her personality is so big and wonderful that the chair is just a second thought. It might help Jay doesn’t see the chair either. Frankie and Jay are a perfectly match couple. One that helps each other be better. You’ll fall in love with not just the couple but with the whole gang. And that includes a few dinosaur statues in Jay’s front yard! Frankie has a successful podcast helping others learn and share about their experiences with accessibility. So when a request comes in for rope play, Frankie is open and ready for the experience. Only she didn’t know that her instructor would open a new door to her future. Jay is all about family and helping others. But a bad relationship has him thinking that he could never be the settling down type. But why is it that when he sees Frankie, all he sees is a future with her. I hardly ever rate and books tend to blend together in my mind, storylines are to similar, smut all the same. This book is one that is firmly planted in my mind. The fact that an author is taking the time and supreme effort to give a voice and actual space in this genre to those of us with disabilities. Well excuse the fudge out of me but I cried, like silent amazing tears to finally relate on a level with a female MC. There was a quote I highlighted about getting tired about explaining chronic pain to others. It was literally how I feel everyday when someone says you look tired, how you feeling? Ugh and the smut lord do I read ALOT of smut, but this was literal flames. Do yourself a favor and read this book. I know I am on the edge of my seat dying for the next one. Also the cover?? Paving ways for stories about these amazing characters that you don't see in everyday books, I knew this was exactly what I needed to be reading. It was funny, relatable, educational and DAMN SEXY! I loved these 2 together and I'm so sad it's finished but so unbelievably glad I got to read the characters journeys.
